im loosing coolant god knows where. after multiple compression test and leak test im dont know where its going supposevly not in the oil and i dont smell it. when i filled it up with dexcool during a long drive i smelled a little bit of coolan while driving, but i overflowed it and now its saying low coolant again cant smell it in the tailpipe.

secon problem is the timing chain tensionner i replaced it twice since last year and i still get this damn noise.

what should i do sell the car and be done with it or replace the head gasket and complete timing chain delux kit on crateenginedepot.com

 

What do you have? I had similar issue in my 05 LS, lost 4 quarts of oil out of no where and no leaks no smell of burning or anything, like someone drained it and bounced out with it lol

I have 156k and my LSJ is solid.

 

yes bought used, its a 2006 supercharge

i just put a quart in to fill it up and i have low coolant again in less than 4 days, i cant be burning it because i would smell it at this rate is there a purge valve somewhere and what controls that would it be a bad thermostat?

how hard is it to change the timing chain im affraid its stretched out.
