Well my first gear is going out again. A few months back i had it rebuilt under warranty so no problem. well it is doing again and its not as frequent as it used to be but it is gradually getting worse. si took it in again. should i ask for a new transmission??? would i even be eligiable for it??? and what it is doing is not letting me get into 1st gear the clutch pedal is down all the way and i go to shift into first wont let em sometimes. i can get into any other gear no problem. but that one is giving me problems again. do you think its the trans again or the clutch (please tell me you think its the trans again)

 

mine does this when i park on a hill and leave it in reverse i got to put it in 1st and its like a wall i have to go into 2nd then 1st and 5th is a bitch also but im gettin a diff shifter i think that will helo that prob

 

if it goes in any gear but first, not a clutch problem then

 

yea those 2.2 manuals really suck...

yeah i have figured that out. i have the car for a year and maybe 3-4 months now and it started acting up first time around the one year mark. and now its doing it again i just really hope its the transmission again i dont know if i could afford to have the clutch fixed. i would do it myself i knew how to do it. but i dont.





UPDATE: The stealership called and the technician drove it and the manager drove it they couldn't get it to mess up. So i am going to pick up today and if it keeps doing it i will have to wait till it happens more frequently i guess.

 

Just go into 3rd, then back to 1st. It should go in. I have some of the same issue. I'm worried that if I force it too hard, I'm going to break a cable.
