Problems/Service/Maintenance Do you have problems with your new 2.0, 2.2, or 2.4L? What kind of service did you have done?

2.0 blown. can i use 2.2?

A stand alone is not just a fuel management system it replaces the whole ecm/ecu, they are capable of supporting more tunes and programs than the stock one can..

That is why some computer that can't be tuned have to buy a stand alone system. esp for memory purposes.

So if you flashed the Bcm to work with the new program that you put on the stand alone why wouldn't it ??

Yes the pcm,bcm,tcm and all the other moduels are vin/year specific, But you can get them flashed and introduce or program a new vin into the system.


and Like I said before a replacement engine is easier, But I am curious for purposes of this not being discussed fully and everyone likes to learn a thing or 2,

a stand alone will not communicate with the bcm a couple of people have tried swapping a lsj into a base model did not work 1 guy swapped an lnf into a redline it took months and a lot of money and a major rewire its not worth the effort

Ah gotcha thats kinda shitty ....If you could make this work and stay in the proper year range, it would only be the engine bay to rewire right? unless you wanted heated seats or something?

lol Yea thats true, don't forget how deep we are on money, What if you piggyback the bcm and tcm??
