2.2L Cobalt 05

Hey guys my car is jumping/shaking. Its a manual. Usually it happens in 4th however it has happened in 3rd. It happens completely at random, on hills, level ground, when the car 1st starts and after its warmed up. Any ideas about what this might be? I've tried shifting later and earlier to no avail.

I think it's normal, I think it's due to the electric throttle body. Someone correct me if I'm wrong

Ha, well its kinda hard to explain, I mean its not bucking back and forth, but its not vibrating either lol. If you could imagine a medium between those bucking/vibrating. More of a lurch?

-And the misfiring, wouldn't there be a sound from the exhaust?
-And it just being normal.. electric or what have you, I seriously doubt they'd make a car that does this as frequently as it does.

2.5k to 3k range. it seems to develop in that range. the worst being at 3k. But out of curiosity I let it go past 3k rpm and it dies down. Recently took it to the dealership and they said the computer needed an update and that's why the check engine light was on. I tend to think they'd be the first to fix the problem rather than cover it up. More money for them. So idk.

EDIT: Speeds: 25-40mph mostly 3rd and 4th gear.
