At the back of the engine above the Starter on a 06 SS SC ,should be the same for your car.

i get a p0300 all the time. random misfire i'm assuming is that. when i was tuning it, most of the time at idle it just stopped reading rpms, went from 800 - 0 with no in between. car likes to lobe at idle. i've kinda had the problem since before the car blew, so that's the problem i've been assuming. i also can't go into more than a couple pounds of boost and i can't tell if that's the tune or the sensor but i'm still in my break in period

i have a P0300 always showin to. and yes it is a random misfire. you have any idea what causes that? other than the P0336 code, my car runs just fine. i get full boost and everything with no problems until this code showed up the other day after it wouldnt go past 3,000 rpm's

If you change the crank sensor you will have to get a relearn done at the dealer.
Maybe it can be done with hp tuner but I'm not sure.
