2.4 Auto Transmission "click"

Just ran into this issue this morning. Car is in park in my driveway, starts up just fine, but when I press on the break to put the car in reverse (or any gear) there's a "click" noise that seems to come from directly below the shifter inside the car. Could try and post a vid to give you a better idea of whats going on.

Any ideas? Never really heard of something like this happening so any help would be great. Thanks.

How so?

I've had the car for a year and it's never done it before.

Alright, well sounds like no biggy. Just figured I see if it was something I had to look into fixing.

Every auto I've ever driven has done it, my old Balt had done it since day one

Touching the brake pedal while the cars in park activates a solenoid that allows you to take the shifter out of park, your hearing the solenoid letting go of the shifter to allow it to move
