2.4L throttle response at low RPMs

I have a 2007 SS 2.4L with manual transmission that I just bought a couple weeks ago, there's about 1200 kms on the car and I've noticed since day one that there seems to be a throttle response delay at low RPMs. I really need to step into it to shoot up the RPMs and it takes a second before the engine speed reponds to the throttle, and it seems feels like the engine is sluggish at lower RPMs when in neutral. Anyone else here with the 2.4L have this problem?

Very funny....Maybe I wasn't really clear....I'm talking about being parked, either in 1st to take off or even in neutral just giving it a little rev...I don't really notice it when I'm driving.

Yep its that damn computer controlled throttle response, almost every brand of car i have been in is the same now...you might want to give HPT a go.

I've got the same thing with my 2.4. Some days it has good responce, other days it's delayed (usually hot humid days), which makes me think it isn't completely the fact that it is drive-by-wire

The stock tuning has some pretty good delays built in before the car enters PE mode. If you have HPtuners or access to it you can adjust the PE delay and the full throttle response will be much better. The electronic throttle probably does account for a small delay, but not more then a tenth of a second or so at worst.
