2006 SS/SC loosing coolant is normal?

did leakdown test, checked the oil, compression test all came back normal what are they missing?
sensor had a bad cable, and thermostat was replaced 2 years ago
slow leak, about a quart ever 2 months

well its my dealership who did all that work. they mentioned a pressur release valve under the fuel rail.

Tiny hole in a hose, loose clamp, leak around the pump. Gotta be something along those lines.

but technically its not normal to loose a little bit of coolant right? they even put the dye in the coolant but didnt find anything and then told me its normal to loose a little bit throught the valve...? im confused i thought dex cool system where closed systemp and would never loose coolant.

It's not normal. Sorry if my post gave you that impression, but I agree with you that it should never loose coolant. Not sure what this valve is, maybe though if the valve is stuck slightly open it could be loosing coolant through there? See if they'll replace that valve for you

Loosing coolant is not normal at all, I didn't lose a single drop from the time I got the car in 2008 to last year when I flushed the whole thing and replaced the coolant.

ok i thought so dex cool is a closed loop dosent seem to burn it tho well thats what they told me.. wierd ill have to bring it to a different dealer see what they say
