Its a battery connection or bad battery.. It will read 14+ volt when its running unless you have a bad alternator. Your battery can still be shot take it to get checked. If it works when you slam the trunk it would have to be a connection in the trunk or a fucked up battery.

I'm sure you could but you might want to put the stock tune on just to be safe. I would double check + and - on the battery first and take the battery to a parts place to have it checked. It could be something messed up in the battery but i'm 99% sure its the connection. It doesn't take much to lose the connection and you may think its tight but its not.

ok well slamming the trunk to get it to work is CLEARLY something loose and everything resetting like the clock means its not getting juice from the battery so thats another sign. the ticking almost sounds like its a dead battery so take it into autozone or some place to test your battery for free or if you have a multimeter test the battery voltage yourself.
check all the connections you can with the battery and trace some wires theres definitely a connection or battery issue

the car wouldnt shut off because of a battery. if the car is running you could take the battery out and it would still run till you shut it off. i do it all the time at work on pos cars with no batterys lol
im just saying the ticking almost sounds like a dead/low battery and then on top of that there is a bad connection somewhere if opening and slamming your trunk causes it to fix itself. could be a bad connection with the computer or whatnot like someone said a positive terminal in the engine.
Dude just take it to the dealership
I got a brand new transmission with all this **** I have in my car (in signature)
yours will be covered, thats the point in having a warranty, (even though I may knock it once in a while)

you guys are right... i have found the loose connection...
also, on top of that, multimeter read 12.1 volts...
what kind of battery is this? how many cells does it have?
is it the standard 6 cells, rated at 2.1 volts each?
