5th gear

To go along with my power steering failure at 450 miles it didn't seem to want to go into 5th gear. Not grinding or anything its seems kinda like it not there it'll go up towards it but won't go in but every now and then. Is this common on a car this new?
Thanks

I thought it was just a cable adjustment.

yea they couldn't diagnose thats what it was because they supposidly all ready performed the recall at the dealership I bought it from. I took it Friday it sat til tuesday and on tuesday it wouldn't do anything. Then today they told me the motor was getting hot so they're gonna order it today and when it comes in fix it so I figure Friday. maybe
