Been trying to figure out my why car doesn't want to boost past 8 psi. The other issue is that the IC pump does not run. I think these two issues might be tied in together somehow. So a buddy of mine have tried a couple of different things after reading through the forum and still have no success.

*With the boost bypass mod, the car hits almost 15psi
*Using a jumper on the IC pump relay the pump works just fine (a paperclip)
*the EMISS fuse is not blown
*IC pump relay is not bad
*12v to the relay is fine, but there's no signal to the relay to tell the pump to turn on


So is there anything else I can try or an any ideas what is going on?

 

Is the fuse blown?

 

The only fuse I checked was the emiss. Which other ones should I check?

 

There should be one that says aftercooler

 

make sure you have 12v at both relay inputs at key on.
make sure you don't have a break in the wire between the relay and ecm.

 

The factory tune only turns on the IC Pump if the IAT2 reaches a preset temp (I forgot what)
ZZP tunes turn on the IC Pump anytime the key is on. Much better that way.

 

Just to confirm it takes about 10 seconds for Ic pump to come on once the car has started.

 

No it will be on all the time after about 10 seconds of engine running time. It will only shut off if the outside air temps are below 40 degrees on the stock tune.

OP, limiting boost to 8psi via the bypass solenoid means the ECU thinks there's a problem. Look at the datastream and see what's out of whack, there is either excessive knock, high air temps or something in that range.
