2007blkSS,
I understand you are looking for insight into what is causing the noise/vibration at idle when you're running your A/C; while I am unable to offer any technical insight, I am available to you should you decide to work with a dealership to get this diagnosed. Let me know via private message!
All the best,
Sarah

I'm going to start my own thread about this.
I have the same issue per say. However I feel this vibration at all times. It feels like the clutch is enguaging and then dis enguages all of a sudden. There is really no cold air comming out, the motor stumbles and fights the clutch... When I turn the AC button off everything is fine again. Leads me to believe it has something to do with the clutch. Would low freon levels cause something like this? I'd have to assume no. If it was empty it should still spin the compressor just not provide any cooling.
Someone know what this could be?

This is not normal. Don't listen to that guy. My car runs the same on or off AC. You might need to recharge the system. What's your vacuum at at idle with AC?

The reason your car shakes is probably because of the mounts you have installed. One of the reasons I refuse to get aftermarket mounts. I invested in a thing called boosted reduction lol so I can retain the little comfort the ss provides haha.

The Rpms will jump a little because of the obvious. If its repeatedly kicking on I.e every 2 seconds you need a recharge. The smell however, when's the last time you changed your cabin filter?

cabin air filter is new Because i thought that was the issue.
I took it to the dealer while it was still under warranty and they told me they needed to clean the hvac under the hood and it would be $250 to clean it. I'm now out of warranty.

I did the same thing to mine because of the horrid smell when the AC is first turned on, but then the smell goes away after its been on for about a minute. I'll bring mine to the dealer to see if they can do anything.. out of warranty too..

They're just going to clean the condenser fins, or they're going to flush out the A/C system due to bacteria? If they're just going to clean the condenser fins, you can do that with a high pressure sprayer.

Twice in the ownership of this car since basically when I joined CSS.net. I turned on the AC and white odorless smoke almost came out of the vents for about 3-4 seconds then it cleared. But it wasn't smoke because it dissipated in the air as it rose. So I imagine it was condensation? Can anyone confirm or if that happened to anyone else? Hope it wasnt anthrax lol
