Aeroforce Gauge PROBLEM

Ok. I have the new version of the SS edition Interceptor scan gauge. I'm having problems with it:

1. Never did it light up the shift lights during start up nor when I had the shif light engaged.

2. It doesn't even work now. When I turn the car on, after 5 seconds, the lcd screen DOES light up, however that's all it does. It does not display any information on the screen. It doesn't even have the SS and Aero/Force Startup screens anymore, it just stays lit up.

What the hell is wrong with it? It worked for a week perfectly (except the shift lights never worked)

I cant tell you whats wrong with it, but I do know that there are a few other members on this board who have had the same issues with it. Hopefully they will chime in.

RMA the bitch. Might be a faulty one that made it past quality control.

The LCD has failed. Take it back to Todd at Aeroforce and let him know how displeased you are. I just got mine back 3 das ago and it works ok now but the same thing happended to mine. These new gauges must have been lemons. Good luck!!

Just installed mine. Works great EXCEPT no shift lights! The LEDs don't light up on startup either. This sucks!

My LEDs don't light up on startup. Also, initially the shift light is set at 0 RPM. You need to actually set it to an RPM and verify that your refresh rate on the gauge is set to the fastest possible in order for the shift light to work. I had to change both to get them to work.

Thanks for the tip. I did set my shift light rpm (initially to 6k then to 4k -for testing) but I did not set the refresh rate to the fastest possible. I will give that a try *fingers crossed*

Let me know how that goes. Mine didn't work until I changed the refresh rate.

Ok this is weird. My gauge works sometimes. Every other time I start the car, the gauge works. However, it takes like 10 minutes for information to show up. I emailed them and they told me to send it back so they could fix it or replace it. I will send it back monday.

Thanks a lot patathSS!!!! Sure enough my data refresh rate was set at 5. Once I adjusted it to 1 the shift lights worked perfectly. I am now 100% satisfied with the gauge.

Guess it goes to show that it pays to read the instructions. I figured the thing only has two butons - how hard could it be to figure out

the shift lights WILL NOT work untill you've got into menu and change the data rate to "1"

then they will work

I had the same problem and my replacement just did the same thing today (and at the track of all places). I think I'm done with this POS gauge. There is an obvious defect with them so buyers beware

Glad to hear it worked. I know I had to read through the manual to figure it out.
Todd is a really nice guy and I know he wants us all to be happy. I love the gauge and have had no problems with mine that weren't my own fault.

My gauge seems to be working ok now. It takes like 3-4 minutes before information is displayed now. However, I still don't have a startup screen. I have to change that refresh rate so I can get my shift lights to work.

Dude, sorry, but I would not accept that. Your gauge is faulty. The display should come on within seconds after starting the car. It's only going to get worse. Demand a replacement from Aeroforce - I am!!
