After installing 2.80" pulley, squeeling noise.

Im going to assume that the belt is too big, or the tensioner pulley is too small.

I have been running a 2.90" pulley fora while now... i just got my 2.80" pulley from nate and i threw it on the car today.

Well, it sounds like a messed up tensioner... it squeels, and gets louder as the rpms get higher. At idle it is nearly silent.

I put the 2.90" back on and no squeeling throughout the powerband.

Im going to assume i need either:

1) smaller belt

or

2) bigger tensioner pulley.

Is this correct?

get a light and check that your belt isnt off by a notch on all the different pullys

I did that once during a swap and it made some noise like that.

had to shove it over 1 tooth and it was fine.

I'm going to assume that because he has Stage 2 kit listed in his sig, that it is the Stage 2 belt!

Ooops I looked at your sig and looked right past it. I would be willing to bet Anom is correct.

i dunno. it probably would have if i gave it a shot of gas....but i just started the car, heard it, and shut it off.
the 2.8 should have no slippage with the S2 belt, so i doubt thats it...

I cheat and use a prybar under my ingalls bracket to push the tensioner down from above
