i think if u get a pioneer unit they have an adapter that would allow the steering wheel controls to interface with the new head unit

There are adapters out there for several different manufacturers. You need to find a head unit that has a wired remote output and then find out if there is an adapter made that will work with it.

I just priced this and the kits to put the head unit in and keep the steering wheel controls will be about $220.00 Plus tax.

Sucks but from what I have been able to find if you dont get the kit you run the risk of your air bags not working correctly.

I have never been able to keep all my steering wheel controls. Some but not all.

For my 05 LS, I am using the PESWIX unit with a Pioneer 6800 deck, works great.

I am trying to install a Kenwood in dash monitor but getting no sound. I need to figure out how to send signal through the factory amp. Please help. If I plug a speaker directly to the headunit I get sound but I dont want to rewire the whole system. I dont have the money right now to rewire and buy all new speakers at the moment. Right now my headunit is an expensive paperweight.
