Aftermarket HU and Car

Just wondering if the dealership is still able to troubleshoot problems with our cars after we install an aftermarket head unit for audio.

07 Cobalt 2.4L Pioneer system w/onstar

GMLAN04 Harness(retains onstar/factory chimes/speakers/amp) + Metra ASWC

Any thoughts?

why wouldn't they, our cars don't send any data to the HU so its not like we're changing anything important

They are just going to hook a OBD Reader up to your port, how would a headunit affect that?

Headunit doesnt affect anything.
It COULD cause vehicle networking issues, but only if youve got a problem with the serial data lines going to the radio... like if you tied into them or the harness was causing them to short out. If you short out those data lines, your in for a world of trouble.
