starting the car or turning the key to the run position should have made the alarm go off

i tried looking for the fuse in my manual... nothing, and if you read my initial post lol it still goes on even if turned on in the acc position or in run position... uggghhh

ok odd cause i did this procedure before and nothing happened but this time it worked. i disconnected the battery, unplugged the horn, reconnected the battery (lol silent alarm went off) put the keys in the ignition onto ACC and the alarm was disabled however before. i did all that minus the disconnection of the battery and horn, it didnt work... idk **** it at least it isnt on anymore. ill save up for a ebay remote, but tthank you guys SO much espically the guys who stayed up mad late lol. Hopefully this becomes useful to someone else. see ya!!!

I know its been a while...but, did you ever figure this out? My alarm wont stop going off now either lol, its sitting in the driveway with the battery unhooked. I locked my car with the remote last night, then this morning my remote seemed to be dead so I just used the key and beep, beep, beep, beep, beep........ So I thought the alarm would go off if I started the car, not the case, kept going off.

a gm scanner will show the "reason" for the alarm being activated

I had this same problem 10 months ago. Unlock was broke on key fob but I could shut the alarm off by hitting the lock button. Friend locked the door with the electronic lock in the door and it wouldn't shut off cause the lock on remote broke a few days before. I pulled the horn fuse and a day later the alarm stopped goin off. I now just lock it by manually rushing the lock down or just leave it unlocked. Horn fuse is still pulled.

a gm scanner will show the "reason" for the alarm being activated
1. your 2 years late
2. 06 is different from 07 etc..
3. the reason the alarm being activated is because the alarm was ARMED *******
