Annoying windshield wiper issue

Towards the end of last summer going into fall, my wipers would only work when it was still warm out. I changed the relays and it seemed to help... for a day. I checked the fuse and it's good. I changed out the stalk and the motor and nothing changed. I just went out and tried the wipers and got nothing. I fuse was good but I changed it anyways and now they flippin work! What is the deal? Anyone experience anything like this. If it matters, I've noticed that usually the warmer it is out (above 40) then they work.

The wipers are handled by the BCM. When you operate the switch it tells the BCM what you are asking for and then it commands the wiper motor.

Now that may not be your issue. There are supposably two fuses one under the hood and one inside.

Again probably not it. lol

I suggest that you lookup how to "re-seat" your fuse/relay panel under the hood.

I have heard of several people having random "gremlin" or "ghost" electrical problems all resulting in the box un-seating or become loose.

Just google/search on here and you'll find several posts about this oddball thing that shouldn't happen.

EDIT: look here and how to remove the upper fuse box part. Skip the wheel and stuff and just remove that bolt he shows in the pic with the ratchet in the fuses(7th pic down) https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-...ission-102830/

Hey, if you don't want to beleive that then I don't really give a ****. It wouldn't be so weird if that wasn't the case.

Im just saying, dont u think that maybe you couldnt see that the fuse was no good ? It happens to me all the time... Visual is not always the best way to check them.

I believe ya cuz its happened to me countless times.... But that may be ur solution, just needed a new fuse orrr something else is causing the fuse to blow ...

So take it easy with the F bomb

That's the thing thought, I actually used a tester and it was good. As soon as it warms up long enough for me to get under the hood, I'll mess around with the fuse box and what not.

Volt meter I'd assume... see if it's sending signal etc etc..

But if you've replaced it already, I'd assume it's not the issue... re-seat the box while it's cold so you can test it while it's still cold out so you don't run into this issue next winter..
