Another steering problem
My steering has gone all crazy. I'm getting the clunking when I turn the wheel left and right, which from what I here, is the intermidiate steering column, but just today when I turned into my driveway after work I hear a whining or whirring sound coming from the steering wheel when I turn. It only happens at low speeds.
Anyone had this yet? Could it be the steering motor?

Bringing back up to the top. This was driving me crazy when my car was doing this. Its like another post i read on here said--i can't sleep at night with this problem!! I hope your car gets fixed. If its not under warr. then it could get very expensive to fix.
yea when i heard clunking on mine i took it in and the fixed it for me under warranty. i beleive they had said it was a bearing but i dont remember off the top of my head and i also have the whining from time to time at low speeds. it hasnt caused me ne problems.
I'm scared that its going to be the whole steering column or somthing. Its been getting progressively worse over the last couple days.
I made an appointment at a local performance shop for this weekend to get it looked at, so hopfully I get some good news from them.
