Anyone had this problem???

For the last month or so everytime I come to a stop the engine acts like it wants to stall. The rpm's go from about 500 to 1200rpm a few times then the idle smoothes out. Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen and what it is.

My ss/sc did that, and GM has a ECM update for that exact reason.

yea GM has a ECM update for that...also if your planning on getting stage 2 soon dont even worry about it if you dont have time to take it in it wont hurt anything and the stage 2 reflash corrects that problem goodluck!

If you have an aftermarket intake... it more than likeley is the oil from the filter getting on the MAF sensor. I clean mine with electronics cleaner about 2 weeks after I change/clean the filter.

hmm most people who have this problem the stage 2 reflash corrects it i had the same problem and got the stage 2 a week and a half ago and now since its been installed...is it when your A/C is running or without 2?

ballsoutbalt has a good point there is a pretty good chance of that being it because the oil is screwing up the reading from the MAF sensor

let us know when you figure it out

If you have a custome tune, don't you loose it when the dealer re-flashes it? and Vise versa?

yes...do you have a custom tune? because if you take it to the dealer and they reflash your car it will get rid of the custom tune and you will have the basic stage 2 reflash again...o and make sure if you do take it to the dealer to get it flashed that they know you have stage 2 you dont want them to put the stock tune back on the car that would be bad lol

if you have a custom tune if take it to where you got the tune at and ask them to help you out because there tune they did made this happen...

I had it reflashed after I had stage 2 installed due to gas cap, when they reflashed it does that mean I lost my stage 2 program???

not necessarily if you still have a 7000 rpm redline you still have the tune and your car wouldnt run properly if at all without the stage 2 reflash

Took the car in yesterday....actually got a call and took it in a day early. They re-flashed it and the problem seems to have gone away. One of the techs said there was an update for the A/C making the idle rough. thanks
