hey guys got a problem, I think my axle or CV joint may be going out/bad when I turn to the left it is starting to pop very little as if the cv joint is getting bad. I just lowered my car with tenzoR springs and I have 17in rims, and right at 50K miles I have the 5 year 100,000 mile warranty do you guys think that I will be covered if it is the axle or cv joint? the axle angle didnt seem to move when lowered, so I would hope they would cover me, and I think before I go up to the dealership I'm going to put my stock tires back on there. Let me know what you think I should do or if anyone knows if I'm covered

i work at a chrysler dealership, cv shafts cost around 450 ea side. so id guess 1000 for both sides with labor.

chrysler covers cv shafts, and our warranty was 7-70,000, now its lifetime, but its a 100 dollar deductible.

Doubt that you will be covered; I was talking to my service advisor (good friend) denied a warranty clutch because he had a/m pedal covers, i didnt think clutch was covered but that what he said im sure that being lowered they will tell you the angles are off etc. Im keeping mine stock till my warranty runs out; 6yr 100k 0ded

the first thing they will ask is if an GM Certified tech installed the springs....you say no, i did it my self ur screwed bye bye warranty. They may let u off the hook if u had it installed by a tech in a different shop, but u need proof (i.e- the bill)

Well if you came to my dealership we would replace them under warranty plan and simple, and no there is no deductible for the 5year 100,000 mile warranty

depends on the dealer and the attitude you have. first, dont tell them your lowered, they might not notice if they arent paying attention. id just take it in and tell them you have a popping noise when you go around corners, dont tell them what you think it is. even if they notice its lowered, they may just overlook that. they dont have to warrenty it, but they might

Dont work at a domestic dealer but i work at a toyota dealer. If your cool and come in and be like, " Yea this is my car, miles and such. Its started this popping sounds when i turn" and be cool about it we normally look and if thats the prob and its warrenty its no big, we do it. X2 on putting stock wheels and tires back. lowering usually doesn't casue probs like that. also depends on the ppl there. were pretty cool but you know how those gm dudes can get. Think everything is the customers fault
