Auto Shifter Issue
Auto Shifter Issue
Hi All, first post.
I`m experiencing the dreaded "cant remove the key from the ignition" problem.
The details of which are well documented both in writing and on video, for that I`m thankful.
What I need to know is what`s the part number of the little white shaft that mounts horizontally through the shifter? I`ve searched high and low for it to no avail, someone likely tossed it when they "fixed" the problem by wrapping a garbage bag twist tie around the micro switch
Also, the shifter knob was removed along with a couple of plastic actuators in the shaft, a short white one which is mounted within the knob itself which is coupled to a longer black rod (see pictures) that seems to connect to a spring below it.
My questions are:
Does the black shaft appear to be complete/undamaged and what is its proper orientation.
Where exactly does the missing white horizontal bar fit relative to the spring and black plastic shaft?
What would be very helpful is an exploded view of the shaft and it`s internal components.
Any help would be appreciated
