So I took her to the shop the other day and my passenger airbag has been acting funny, and I asked them to look into it and see what it would need. Bottom line: bad passenger presence module and they wanted $712 to replace it. Anyone know where I can find one cheaper than that> GM direct is nearly $400...

I hate those damn things. Too sensitive. My car will bitch at me and turn the air bag on when I dont buckle up the pizza I just ordered.

At least it works though... $700 is robery, even $400!

It cracks me up. "Oh your passenger presence system doesnt work?, Ill disable ALL AIRBAGS IN THE VEHICLE THEN". At least have it on all the damn time...

 

Yeah, this issue is f-ing dumb. I found it on gmpartsdirect I think for $295..

 

How'd you end up resolving your issue, I have the same one.

 

I havent yet, I tried to order one from gmpartsdirect but they said its on backorder and they dont know when stock will be available...which, again is dumb because its a damn safety part and not some bullshit knob.

 

go to the junkyard and buy a whole seat for less than that.

 

I was looking at something different, the cushion and sensor are like 280. Not that bad...

 

resistors are cheap
