Bad wheel bearing?

I've got a bad grinding noise at low to moderate speeds. Sounds like the same noise when I've had bad wheel bearings before with one exception. When I drive down the road and swerve back and forth the sound doesn't come and go as the bad bearing is loaded and unloaded, this particular noise is constant with the road speed, doesn't change with engine RPM or acceleration/deceleration.

Anybody have any ideas? Can't get it into the shop until Monday.

Andrew.

Jack the car up and shift to neutral. Hold on to the shock spring with one hand while spinning the wheel with the other. If you feel vibration in the spring while the wheel spins, that's the side the wheel bearing is shot on.
