Batteries are just like any other component. They can be bad right off the shelf.

So your basically driving around with a dead battery until the new one comes in?

i dont really think that your amp and sub had anything to do with it unless they made your alternator go bad, even if your amp was stuck on when you shut the car off it would take a few days at the least to even hurt anything in my opinion

Unless you're running a serious system, in which case it would take only a few minutes to kill it without the car on. Been there, done that, got the jumper cables.

Thats BS that they didn't have one. Are you saying that they have no techs working on Saturdays. How are working people supposed to get their cars serviced?

My dealer would have pulled a battery from one on the lot.
Day I picked up my car, No Onstar book so they "borrowed" one from another car. Also, when I have a problem, my dealer actually tries to fix it instead of just saying that nothings wrong. When I went to buy the car, Sales guy gave me keys to a G6, and said take it for a drive. Never asked if I even had a Drivers license. Didn't suggest that I buy any car, I told him what I wanted. I live in cow country, maybe thats why. This is also not the closest chevy dealer to my house.

my carf is screwing up now too. I have a system but heres the deal. One day I left the harzards on and the battery died. Eventually the car fired up on its own. Well, a couple weeks later it just wouldnt start.. Tried and tried and it eventually fired up. So I have stoped using the stereo even though every time it happens I havent been using it. Last night same thing. This morning yet again. It is like I leave it for a few hours then it wont start. Its like something is draining the batt. I even removed the sound system fuse so it wouldnt get power. Im going to have to take it into the dealer..

Its crazy
