Battery groud

I didn't know where to post this.. and didn't really know how to search for it cuz i don't know what it's called.. but what is the little cord coming out of the side of the stock battery? Is that another ground cable? I got Optima battery and I didn't see anything for that cable. Can someone tell me what that is exactly.

Are you referring to the battery vent tube? I haven't taked a close look at the original battery but if the vent tube attaches to the original battery I would replace it with another battery that has the vent tube connection since the battery is in the trunk. Check with the store you bought the battery at and ask them if there is a battery available with the same setup as the original battery.

Normal batteries gas and need a vent to remove it from the trunk.

Optimas Dont gas. Therefore you dont need it
