Hey guys,

So, my battery just died on me about a half hour ago. I was leaving my girlfriends and it didn't start. I had a few small issues with the battery here and there, but mainly only two other real issues. One was last week. I had my headlights on without having the car running for about 10 minutes and the battery died. And over the summer, we were at the drive in, and the battery died half way through a movie (it used to last through two just fine). The car has a hair over 60k on it and is a hair over 4 years old. Resided in PA the whole time, so we have all 4 seasons. The battery is fine the rest of the time, and the alternator keeps it working under normal conditions, so I'm guessing it's simply the battery that needs replaced, right? Since it's working fine once started, the battery is the obvious weakest link, correct? If not, what else should I look into before outrightly replacing the battery?

By the way, it was 5 this evening, but it was 20 most of the day, and the car was driven in the morning for about 20 minutes and started up just fine. I only had my iPod plugged in as well as under-dash lights that are LED's and have never caused the car to die, even after being in with the car not started for a week.

Probably had a bad cell and it finally went. Make sure your connections are tight too!

 

The connections are fine, but I will check them in the morning. Luckily I had the garage tonight, so I could pop it on the tenter when I got home so I wasn't stranded for work..

 

Well my 09 wouldnt start one morning just clicked and got it started took it to the dealer and they told me one of the cells went bad so i got it replaced underwarranty!
