I painted my supercharger a few days ago and ever since then i had some nasty belt squeal. I havent been driving it lately because of the recall so today i started her up and the squeal was gone. I went to check out the belt and its loose around the tensioner so its slapping around. Does this mean my tensioner is bad or that i need a new belt? Btw im stage 2 running a 3.0 pulley

Yea i did. Ive had the blower off many times before so idk what happened this time. And its not as loose as i make it sound but there is play in it and its rubbing against the tensioner's boot

 

If the tensinor is getting old it could be getting weak causing the slap

 

I ordered a new one last night. $166 shipped should i order a new stage 2 belt also? Mines still in good shape but that squeal has me worried. Unless it was all the tensioner
