Does it happen just during idle? If it does its most likely timing chain tensioner.

no, its definitely the blower motor. it only happens when the blower is on and the ticks get faster as you turn it up.

Its either the bearing or the cage is touching somewhere. Those types of motors tend to move forward
when the bearings start to wear .
So I would say its rubbing at the front of the cage.
You cant lube the inside bearing with out removing the cage from the motor shaft which is a pain but can be done with some patientce.

I've had the same problem in mine. I was told on here a while back that it was a warranty fix, but my car is salvage, so not good news for me.

You people do not know the difference between a blower motor and a supercharger.

I just noticed the same thing. Pain in the ***** noises. I was like "WTF???" then I turned the fan off and it went away. Retarded. Thats one noise that Im not interested in chasing down.
Only does it with the heat on though.... not ac.

I have no warranty anymore. Too many miles, too old. How much is a blower motor if I wanted to replace this myself? Sounds like a PITA having to cut the casing to replace it.

It is a common issue for the HVAC to be noisy. It sounds like someone's jamming a card into a computer fan at lower speeds.

Mainly I get around it just by cranking the music.
