boost on a 2.8

What's up guys, I bought an 06 balt ss/sc and the only mod it has is a zzp 2.8 pulley, idk how much increase in boost I'm supposed to get but I don't hit more than like12-13 is that normal? What's a stock pulley size anyway on these? Thanks.

well if you see a 2.8 pulley, and only 13psi then you most likely have injectors as well along with a tune ofcourse. try and take a pic of the fuel rail where we can see the top of the injectors so we can tell you if there stock or not.

stock injectors+2.8 =boom any second

And exhaust. Lol. My friend had a 2.8 on stock manifold and was seeing 18+ psi. So you have aftermarket for sure. No other way a 2.8 would flow that freely

I like how the sc looks on that blue..but we are unable to see the injectors with those pics..you need to take one right between the sc and the fuel rail so we can see what the top of the injectors look like

or if you see under the fue rail 4 lime green injectors the there stock if there black or any other color that means there upgraded

I see a stock exhaust manifold and stock downpipe.

With those two parts in place you should see much higher than 12-13 psi due to the restriction they produce on a smaller pulley like the 2.8.

You boost by pass maybe shot, and bleeding boost off when it shouldnt be.

I see green under that fuel rail :/ stock injectors... thats not good.

looks like a stock manifold too, is the downpipe and catback stock too? does it have a catalytic converter?

you should be seeing 15-18 psi dude so something isn't right, may well be the tune on stock injectors.

on a sidenote that engine bay looks awesome with those colors

I see 16psi on a mechanical boost gauge with stock header/DP on the 3"

Hopefully for dudes sake it has a bad boost bypass because those injectors appear to be stock. He needs someone with HPT asap.
