Boost Problem

I recent put on a 2.8 pulley and intake around feb. I was driving yesterday around 70mph in 5th, dropped it in 4th and noticed i had no power no power at all, had to put 8th of throttle to keep it going, when i tried to put more throttle there was no increase in rpms. I am hearing a hissing sound when i am driving around 3500 rpm and up. The boost gauge is still showing i am getting boost but appearently im not getting boost at all from the supercharger. when i put the pulley on i could go thru the tires thru half of 2nd and cant even go thru the tires at 1st now, so theres something wrong can anyone help me out?

You ABSOLUTELY need bigger injectors with a 2.8 & you NEED a tune as well with those mods. 2.8 is a BIG drop from factory size. I would suggest at least one cooling mod with a 2.8 and 60's as well. Do not attempt anymore hard pulls until you have upgraded your injectors and got a tune. Otherwise you will be making even more repairs/upgrades.

get that pulley off or get injectors and a tune and it sounds like you might have messed something up already

alright im taking it to chevy tommarow to have them look at it, hope they see something, im pretty sure it might be a boost leakage cuz of that hissing sound, a different sound from the scharger, but ya im gunna need to do the tune and injectors no matter what

You're running out of fuel. The dealership is not going to be kind if you have a 2.6 on there, they will prob send you home and make you pay a diagnostics fee.

2.6 is the smallest you can put on PERIOD. I would not even recommend 2.6 with mods. Maybe a 2.7 but more realistically a 2.8 would be best on a stock m62 supercharger.

I'm surprised they warrantied it with that smaller pulley on there. You absolutly need bigger injectors on that thing. Smaller pulley = more air....which means you also need more fuel to even out the mixture. I wouldn't put anything smaller than a 2.8 on the stock m62. GET INJECTORS AND A TUNE NOW!!
