Question boost problems

Today I noticed that my boost gauge wasn’t working as before. The boost was going up but not smoothly, it kind of went up in small increments. Does any one know what it could be?
Thanks

it controls your boost it is on the supercharger right by the throtle body
it is vaccum operated have some one rev your car and see if it opening and closing
should move easily

Not saying you are wrong but I just want to further clarify....

Your bypass valve controls when you enter above atmospheric pressure but not how much pressure you build. On a supercharger (roots), that is determined by the pulley size which controls how fast it turns per engine revolution. Faster it turns, more air it stacks and more pressure that builds.
