Break pedal squeeking noise

My break pedal is making a weird squeeking noise when I break... kinda like a mouse. Its the pedal not the breaks. Should I spray some lube or something? I dont wanna take it in just for something as minor as this...

use white lithium(spelling) grease , they sell it in a spray can

that is what i used to use when i worked at chevy

wd40 wont stick around along time
