I have the wonderful thing of coming across this today. I wash gonna have a good day of cleaning my car and changing my brakes and rotors. Well I didn't get passed changing my brakes and rotors cause the damb pins are seized.

I've been pb blaster and wd-40'n them. Beat them with a nail set and a hammer and still nothing. I give up until tomorrow. I feel bad for whoever goes through the same thing. This blows. Can't do anything now.

Yay for the wonderful brembos!

Mine probably look worse than that. I've punched the hell out of them for the last 3-4 hours and soaking them every once in a while in pb blaster and WD. It blows. I'm gonna keep spraying them and try and tackle it again tomorrow morning.

Try soaking them in brake fluid. Helps break down rust fast. Use a 5/16 punch and use a decent size hammer with quick hard swings. If that fails, you could use heat from a torch but then you have to rebuild most likely. Other then heat you can cut them out with a dremel or cutoff wheel. Good luck.

try using penetrating oil, spray it on, let it sit for a while, then see if it comes out, tap the sides by the pin with hammer to lossen the rust so the oil can seep in there good.

u know what would prevent this, before putting the pins back in, stray them with clear coat, let dry, it would prevent rust from forming. if it survives being put back in that is

I'm trying a bunch of things today. Breaking out vice grips, clamps, big hammers, heat, and lube.

if I remember correct the only thing holding the pins in, is where the head on the pin is, the front of the pin where u see all the time is just a follower so u should be only heating up on the back side, but I do suggest anti seaizing the hold pin afterwords, my pins pop out like butter, 500$ later at the dealer

an mines a DD

Still having no luck. Probably gonna have to remove my calipers and drill them.

My car only sees partial spring, summers, and half of fall. Its my dd during those months. Other than that its a garage queen.

hmmm ... me thinks i will let the dealership do this. mine is a garage queen too with only 41k on it and it only sees later spring, summer and beginning of fall.

so many people claiming this was easy and that mine wouldn't get seized if it wasn't winter driven.

i think some of those people were talking through their asses or got lucky.

Ya probably. I called a buddy at who works at a garage and he said they pop right out. I just laughed and he said they're easy. They're OEM brakes and rotors and have never been messed with.

At least try it yourself first, before just handing it over to the dealer

Dealer won't care if you've tryed or not. They should take care of it, assuming dealer is worth anything

I know that but you stated to at least try it. I did. I stated my results. Having my buddy from the garage come over in a bit. Hopefully we can get them free. I gave up. It isn't worth the pain and agony. Lol. I just started cleaning the wheels wells and the underside a bit.
