Bumper Cover and Absorber Broken :(

I live in NJ where we just got hit by that huge snow storm. Which just happened to be the day I had to go get 4 new Pirellis put on my car because I had no tread. To keep it short and sweet, snow and no tread equals rear ending a toyota. This has left me with a huge hole in my front bumper cover and the foam bumper absorber.

I have a 2007 Cobalt SS Sedan 2.4L NA in Black. Since its a simple fix I wanted to buy the foam and cover, however I can't find a painted one. They all are primed, but painting them will cost a **** load.

What is the best way to order a new bumper?

Is the foam on the bumper itself, or do you have to buy the foam separately. I'm just wondering because I was in a collision last year and was rear ended. I also noticed my foam cracked. I'm not sure if they replaced the foam on the bumper. I didn't see anything about an absorber on the invoice or foam for that matter.

From my research the absorber looks to be separate piece in between the bumper cover and the actual bumper bar. My foam thing got punched through so I have to replace it. My passenger light harness is cracked so I have to replace that too. But I would check to make sure they either fixed the foam bar or replaced it on your car.

So far I can either order a Primed Genuine Bumper Cover, a bumper absorber and a harness for $320. It would be cheaper to go with "OE comparable" parts but they look like **** so im getting genuine GM parts. Then I would have to get the bumper painted, hopefully to match my cars paint exactly.

Tomorrow im taking it to Collex in Shrewsbury, NJ to get an estimate to see how much it would cost for them to do everything. My dealership wanted MSRP for all the parts ($760) and labor fees and painting fees. So eff that.

However I was wondering if I decide to buy the parts and have someone paint them would Maaco be a good choice. I want a good job on the paint, is Maaco one of those cheapo places?
