cam position sensor on LSJ
Hey guys! So I am having a difficult time figuring out where the camshaft position sensor is located on the LSJ's. Does someone know where there are any write ups on how to replace this thing? or any pictures as to where its located would be super helpful! Thanks guys!

I think I just changed this. It is on the driver's side of the engine, on the end of the exhaust cam. I ended up reinstalling the new one until it was clocked correctly.

Here's the CPS and how it should be timed.
To clarify...
What I have shown is the entire cps sensor and housing. The sensor is found on the back side of this housing which is located at the exhaust cam (backside of engine). The sensor is difficult to remove w/o removing the housing, but can be wiggled out with some patience.
If you can't get the sensor out of the housing, you will need to remove the entire housing. If you do this, you will need to clock the hex the way I have shown in the photo, and make sure the engine is at TDC when you insert it back into the exhaust cam. If you don't properly clock the sensor housing hex, you will know almost right away. The car will be difficult to start and may throw a code.
I have step by step instructions for all of this in my cylinder head how to thread.

I was just showing him the entire housing for reference.
If all you are replacing is the sensor, there is no need to time the hex.... but it is a major pita to remove the sensor w/o removing the housing.
It can be done though.
