Camshaft position sensor! No start! Help

I have a 2005 Saturn Ion Redline 2.0L Supercharged 5speed
'Pretty much bone stock- Only has pace setter headers that's it

It had a blown head gasket so i had the head resurfaced and bought a new GM headgasket.
Everything was installed perfect. I had the car running and driving for 2 days no issues. on the next day check engine light came on and said cam position sensor correlation/performance camshaft B (something along those lines) i dont recall the exact code. So i look it up and it says that the cam position sensor is not in sync with TDC. So my best guess is that i did not install the cam shaft position sensor housing in correctly. (mind you the car runs and drives and pulls great no issues). So i decided to "re-stab" the CAM POS Sensor Housing
I even looked at the forum for additional help. before anything i pulled the spark plug out put a compression gauge hose on it then spun the engine to TDC #1 untill i got on compression stroke. I then pulled the CAM sensor housing aligned the HEX shaft to the line on the housing.

Well after all said and done i have done these steps about 35times. NO JOKE and it still WONT START UP. Just cranks and cranks!!!!

on 3 occasions I put the hex line away from the line on the housing and got it star but quickly died within 1 minute.

Any suggestions?

I had to replace my sensor for the reason of the car not starting and the code. I just straight replaced it as it only went in one way though. Since i didnt feel like pulling my coolant hose from the back of the block the replacement sensor didnt wanna go in so i actually grinded down a corner on it a bit for clear. Not related.

I'm having a similar problem with my 06 cobalt 2.4. I replaced the exhaust cam sensor, sometimes it doesnt start or it cranks for a long time before it starts. :/
