Cancelling GMPP?

Anyone ever cancel their GMPP? I lowered my car so there is no point of keeping the extended warranty, and they will refund me a pro-rated amount now.

Do I call and give them info, then take it to dealer to verify mileage?

Did they take a pretty hefty share of the money?

Just call and cancel. How much you get back depends on how much time you have left.

Are you canceling just because its lowered?

I've never used it and dealers down here won't help me with any issue I have. So I have been repairing the car on my own and doing a few mods here and there.
Not benefiting me by keeping the extended warranty anymore.
I have 59k on the car and it is good til 70k or next summer.

Would a dealer rat me out for the car being lowered and cancelling the warranty?

The warranty is useless when they won't do a damn thing to help me out...
Figure I'll get a few hundo back in my pocket rather than wait around and not have it fixed by the stealership

If you feel like the dealership you are going to is incompetent then go to a different dealer. Do not cancel your warranty just because you are lowered.

Been there done that...
Tired of dealers giving me a run around, when I can just fix the car myself.

I'm sure you can do brake jobs or services, but what if your transmission fails, is that something you want to do yourself?

couple hundred dollars is not worth a year or 10000 miles of coverage

I'd have to find a dealer around here that will even work with me once that happens.
I've changed tranny's before, just takes time...

If they won't even work on your car because its lowered you must have the worst dealer ever or be an ass hole.

All of that happened before I even started touching the car.
Every dealer here in SW Michigan sucks! I went to Customer Care with my case even, nothing was ever done.
