Can someone tell me what i did wrong or what went wrong? this had never happened before. its scared the crap out of me but after pulling to the shoulder on the highway, i got it to start after 5 tries, I was thinking that the injectors has something to do with it but not sure, im don't know alot about mechanics but please help me out
it happend today when I was goin to the dentist...
I went to pass a slow van that din't get out of the way and i down shift to 4 then to 3 when i go into the 3rd gear the car stalls, then i shifted back to 4th and the car started again but after 4 sec. it felt like the car was shockin and it stalled again... then i pulled over and tried to start it, it wouldn't start, tried 5 times, each time i would wait about 45sec to turn the key. the 5th try it turned on like there was nothing wrong.

well its was not the first time i down shifted to 3rd at 75mph, it never happend before I was just wondering if it happend with anyone?

 

I have downshifted in 3rd at about 90mph at the most and my car was fine

 

Never happened to me, but hope it's nothing serious.

 

Me too, i just got my car back from the dealer, they replaced the supercharger and it took 2 weeks.

 

I had a mustang that exibited the same characteristics and it turned out the throttle body was shot..it wasn't letting air in and the engine flooded until it stalled. But mine didn't turn back on like yours. Did the car throw any CELs?

 

Are you getting a CEL?

 

This happened to me 1 time was going to get car towed but it started right up like nothing. No Cel came on or nothing, when I took it to them they told me they did not find anything wrong. Since then nothing more has happened. Do you have stage 2 done? I think reprogram of pcm did not take right on mine, just last week my car was in the shop and they told me an update was needed for a lean code I was getting.

A similar thing happened to me when I went to a meet. One of the electrical connectors to my fuel injectors had come loose. More specifically the pink wire.

 

nothing,that was the weird part, it just bumped 2x and it stalled, felt like it was flooded

 

it went into LIMP mode. the computer told it you were driving stupid and it reduces your engine power.

not good, but it saves the car from any other problems.

bine did it the other night, i was cruising in high pms for a while in 4th egging on a bmw and it happened. mine threw a p0068 code at the same time.

let the car sit and it will fix itself. maybe reset the computer if you need to. i didn't have too.

Ask you dealer if update is needed.

 

lol, when it started it seems like nothin ever happened, but i was scared to slam the pedal to test it, i was far from home and i wanted to get home, maybe later today ill slam on that gas pedal and see if its gonna do it again.

 

isn't there a site that you can input your vin and it tells you that kind of stuff.

 

Ok, today i was driving my car and all of a sudden the Engine lights turn ON, but before it did turn on 1 day after my car turned off on the highway I notice a weird whistle on the SC and today i made a video but the whistle doesn't come out to loud so you cant hear the whistle which made the video pointless... In the same video I notice today that Im boosting about 17 to 18 psi on a 3" pulley from the GM stage kit. does any body know what might be goin on?? Ima take to the dealer tomorrow but they are retarted and they don't know what they're doing. Help me out again, " this car is getttin on my nerves, not the car it self but my parents talking so much **** about me waisting money on the car and how the car is getting mest up"

If you have a lose of power and you are overboosting you maybe suffering from a clogged cat. Not gauranteed, but it is a possibility.

Not sure what the whistling from the S/C is caused by unless you have a leak. Does it sound like a boost/vacuum leak? How would you describe the whistle.

 

the whistle come out when im at 14psi and up the higher the louder, Sounds nice but it wasn't there before, Sounds like an "sshhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiii whistle... not sure if u're gonna understand it but ill try to see what i could do, i don't have the car with me, i took it to the dealer so they could take a look.

 

Replace the CAT or gut the bitch. It's gotta go, your over boosting because it's clogged.
