Car doesn't start with FIC installed.?!
I'm stuck. I wired up all the sensors that are needed but when I try and start the car the car will turn over a few times and then not start. It doesn't even fire up and die, it doesn't start at all.
Anyone who has this installed could you please help me out?
Where did you ground the unit?
Do you have to have your FIC plugged into a laptop the first time you try and start the car?
I'm stuck here!

I'd ground the unit to somewhere with no paint, if that means sanding a spot.....so be it....everyone mounts their FIC in different spots so i can't tell you for sure where to put your ground. As for your FIC plugged into your laptop.....thats not a big deal till you get it running for fine tuning......it sounds like there isn't enough power making it to the plugs, because the motor is a natural ground as it is....the only thing that should stop you from making sparks is something in the connections. It won't be the sensors yet because the system will only register a CEL if the sensors are wrong or run rough if the sensors are wrong..... its gotta be the power to the unit or the unit to the plugs......test those lines and tell me what you get.

Looks like its the ground wire. I powered up the FIC with the laptop and the car fired up when the FIC had external power. Looks like I'm regrounding it when it's not -18 degree's out.
