Car started, Ran then died. Now wont start

Story goes, went to start my car after the gym, ran fine. sat in it for awhile and had to run back into the gym for a second. Came back out and my car was dead. Went to turn it over (full power, accessories all running) and the car will not turn over. It's not making the click click click sound like the security lock out or dead battery. It's trying to turn over but it cant.

I recently had the battery replaced. I checked the oil, its dirty but the levels are fine.

Any thoughts?

Thanks css.

So the engine rotates but will not fire? check fuel pressure at the rail with a screw driver... don't stand in front of it...

Any extra security systems?

did you leave it running when you went back in or did you turn it off and ran back in....

Has it been running rough or differently at all lately? Possible bad crank position sensor?

Have you ever taken the fuse box under the hood apart? I had that problem after I did my clutch and it was because I didn't have a good connection there

The only thing that doesn't throw a code is the fuel pump. If it is dead the car simply doesn't start and you have no codes.

For all other sensors there are codes so if the CPS was bad you'd have a code, not sure what the code is but there is a code for open/short CPS.

Why did you replace your battery the first time? Id double check that your battery again to make sure it's not dead. may have an alternator issue? just a thought.

Battery got replaced under an insurance claim. The insurance company left my car in the freezing Winnipeg winter for a month and it died. A body shop installed the new battery. I'll check the fuel pump. How good is gm road side assistance last? I still have power train warranty for another month.

Never. Was un aware of a fuel pump recall.

GM road side is picking the car up shortly. the GM dealership will look at it tomorrow.
