Car won't go into decel

So as the title states my car won't go into decel correctly when I let off the gas. When I let off the gas it tries to go into decel but then the car starts lunging forward slightly and my wideband sweeps through the whole range a few times and then usually finally settles into decel. Sometimes though even after it finally settles it will start lunging again. This just started to happen after I cleaned my throttle body over the weekend. I did move the valve by hand but did it carefully hoping that I wouldn't damage anything but seems like it might have. When it lunges it feels like the throttle is opening slightly and then shutting again causing the issue. Already tried disconnecting the battery with no luck. Anyone ever have this issue or know how to fix it? Or should I just buy another throttle body?

Can you recall if it ever did it prior to cleaning the tb and just got worse after? Does it do it only at low rpm or high rpm engine braking? Ive cleaned my tb a few times and even ported it and it has always functioned properly. Wondering if its in your tune. There is an airflow table that is state dependent(neutral,1st, 2nd etc) and it can make your car do exactly that(like it wants to accelerate) if the final airflow is too high for a given rpm.

Always worked before. Before I cleaned it, it would stay in decel in 5th anything above like 1500 rpms and over 2000 rpms in any other gear. Now it always opens the throttle a few times before finally settling into decel and even then sometimes it kicks itself out of decel randomly

I'd double check to make sure everything is tightened down properly. Basically check your work lol.

Everything is tight, don't seem to have any vacuum leaks. Gauge doesn't fluctuate vacuum when it does this so not sure what the deal is. Weird thing is cleaning the throttle body fixed my issue of bogging and rpm bouncing when I come to a stop but now I've got this new issue. Also forgot to mention in the original post that my idle is weird sometimes too now. Before it fluctuated between high 13's to high 15's. Now it bounces from one end of the range to the other. Sometimes it'll sit on 10.0 and I've seen it actually give me the reading --- like it's leaned out past what the gauge will read. Not sure why this started either.

^It's supposed to do that. That's decel. It cuts the fuel when you are coasting to save gas. Mine isn't doing that anymore and that's the problem

I vote you screwed up the TB when you moved the blade. Borrow/buy another and try it. Never ever move the blade by hand, plug it in and floor it if you need it open.

That's the best I can come up with too. Just wanted to see what other people may think since I know sometimes people have moved that valve and been fine. Also didn't wanna spend 150 on a new one for no reason. ZZP was the cheapest place I could find them.

Could maybe just require a recalibration, not sure though if can be done .
If possible a tech 2 will be required and that means a trip to the dealer.
Phone the service dept and ask if this can be done !

The dealers around me suck ass but that's a possibility. Any idea how much they'd charge for a recalibration?

I appreciate the suggestion but this problem has got to be with my throttle body because car was working fine before I cleaned it except that it bogged when I came to a stop and then the rpms bounced. Right after I cleaned it, that problem went away and this one started.

based on what some of that your saying i had similar problems... idk if what i just fixed will help or not, but check through my thread and see if it relates to what your problems are..
and check Partsgeek.com for a TB for the car, it might have it there for a decent price... if you need another...
i hope you can get it fixed.. you smokin out the back end of your car during acceleration? does it feel like your car is having trouble breathing during acceleration also??

i hope my thread will help a bit..

unplug the electrical connector that goes to the throttle body and spray it with some contact cleaner. plug it back in and see if the problem persists.

Glad to see you got your problems figured out. Pretty sure that my problem at the moment is just my tb but I'll be sure to check out the things you changed if I have future problems. Don't have any smoke, just a little soot that blows out if I rev it way up because my trifecta tune is so rich. And nope don't seem to have any trouble when accelerating. My only other issue is that everyday I get the p0300 code for misfires and yesterday I got the p0172 for running rich, both of which I blame the tune for lol. Although, I could probably stand to get a different set of plugs because I'm running 1 step colder iridium plugs and it seems that nobody has luck with them.
