car won't start randomly one day please help

My car has been acting funny lately. The battery isnt the greatest but I was driving it fine until I got to my friends house 1 day and the car wouldnt start up even with it on cables. I cant pop start the car even. It was acting funny one night the gaugues and dash back lights were going on and off. Also if I lock the doors now and unlock them I dont have the clicker so I use the key and I turn the key to stop the alarm from going off and it sets it off. I have no clue whats going on with my car. Maybe im security locked out someone please help me

Sounds like a poorbattery connection check under the hood that the positive cable terminal is on tight as well as the wires around the actual battery, inspect for wear. If your car starts go get the codes checked at autozone

Does it crank but not start?

If it's the security lock, there will be a light of a lock turning on every time you try and start the car.

Check the alternator as well. My gauges died right before my alternator died.

I would start by load testing the battery. If it fails a load test, replace it. Make sure your battery terminal connections are clean and tight.

My advice would be to replace the battery. You said it wasn't in great shape to begin with so go ahead and take care of that and go from there.

Bad battery probably. If you're a 06 with the factory battery then you got more then most out of it.
Also, there is an ignition recal for it turning itself off. Perhaps part of your problem could be there too.
