The Catch 22

Well guys, I put a 3.0 pulley from a GM stage II kit on my car, now the Supercharger is making the dreading grinding noise. Sounds like the bearings are going out and I'm pretty sure if I go in there and ask GM for a new one they'll look at the pulley, look at me and say you're SOL kid.

Not that the pulley swap had anything to do with the Supercharger failure, but it gives GM a reason to pull warranty privileges on this matter. The K&N Drop in doesn't help matters either.

The Supercharger decided to take a crap today while driving to work, under safe legal speeds... I hadn't pushed it at all today, and rarely ever do. Most of the local guys I know beat on their cars more than I do. I always seem to get the short end of the stick when it comes to this sort of stuff.

Live and Learn, Don't mod your Daily Driver... you'd think after 3 modified Daytonas and now this that I would have learned that by now.

Okay I'm done venting.

I'm glad you thought of it when I didn't...

See I actually thought about that, but it wasn't my pulley puller and the one that I used it's now broken... I'm a little sapped for cash and I can't afford to buy one at this moment.

I'm glad you're simpathetic towards the whole situation.

well, as a last resort I'm going to look into a supercharger rebuild kit... just in case GM doesn't want to warranty it for any reason. (Still going to put the stock pulley back on)

If anyone knows of any vendor that sells rebuild kits for the M62, let me know... I'll just do it myself if I have to.
