CEL help

OK so i got in my car this morning and my cel was on. I drove it yesterday and everything was fine. I checked the gas cap and it was loose, but before when i had this problem it would come up on the DIC that my cap was loose. I fixed that and drove about 10 min to school. On the way home I filled her up and replaced my locking gas cap with the stock and still the light is on. I havnt done anything to the engine and it is all stock, any help please?

trash the locking gas cap too. nearly every one ive seen has caused an EVAP leak at the filler neck. if it is leaking, you wont get a gas cap loose warning on your dic

Ya I put the stock one back on and have driven it over 6 times which is what the dealer told me to do since it takes awhile for the computer to catch up to the car or something but the light is still on...

The computer has to see up to 50 starts with out a fault to clear it on its own.
Or you could disconnect the battery and wait ten min and hook it back up ,That will also clear a cell. But the cell will come right back if the problem is still there.

I have a locking cap and have had no problems other then the little metal flap that was in the neck has mysteriously dissapeared. just take it to the dealer and habve them run a code reader on it.
