Cel p2195

I already checked the sticky for the list of CELs and this one wasnt listed.

I got this code and it was for bank 1 sensor 1 which is my front o2. the code said the ecu sensed the sensor was receiving low voltage; heater circuit failure (or something very similar along those lines)

i changed the o2 sensor with the exact same sensor stock ones come with. A day later, CEL comes back on. I reset my ECU, CEL goes off. Two days later (today) it comes back on.

Help lol?

Well if it says it getting low voltage, try to unplug it and get a volt meter to test the connection and see what kind of voltage it's getting

Do you know what the voltage should be?

It depends on what wire you test. The power wire should be getting 12 volts but there is probably also a reference wire that gets 0-5v depending on what the sensor is reading

You can get all this information accurately and a lot more easily using a scan tool.

I have one and I got the o2 heater circuit error, then replaced the sensor, I get the same result as your getting, sometimes it takes upto 100 miles before the CEL comes on again, sometimes it returns fast.

As I've been investigating, so far I believe it may be a clogged cat con in my case, I think its making the sensor inoperable, so I will be changing out the cat con soon, I know its bad because I get the cat efficiency code at times too.

If you o2 sensor is not connected you should get 4.60V output (ref) and it stays there and not fluctuate. If its working you will get anywhere between 1V and 9V fluctuating.

Another thing to check is your PCM connections are good.(connectors seated good)
Also any shorting of wires to ground or themselves, follow them back and take a good look where the bundles may be rubbing.

alright, i went to a friend he suggested to check the wiring, i know for the fact that the sensor is not bad and its wiring isnt bad. and i know the connector is in good clean contact.

im gonna undo my bundles and see if theres like a hair like split in one of the four wires in the 02 sensor

i know my cat isnt clogged, its a new high flow cat so that shouldnt be the problem
