Chugging problem and possible high running temp?

Hi all,

I've got an '08 sport, 5MT, which has about 80k kms on it. Been sticking to the warranty service program, but this started happening on my car about a week ago:

At 2k to 3k RPM, in gear, and maintaining speed with soft foot on the pedal, the engine seems to cut in and out, and the car chugs. Feels like I've shifted without giving it enough gas, but it happens when I'm already fully in gear. Seems to only happen in 2nd and 3rd.

This only seems to have started when the weather got warm, so I've been flipping over to my temp readout everytime I experience this, and it has been indicating about 95 - 100C (195 - 210F). Is this high? I haven't been getting any lights, but the timing of this problem seems suspicious.

When I first bought the car, the intake fan wasn't connected properly, so I know what it feels like when this overheats, and if I remember correctly the temp on that was in the 120C range.

I'm going to be bringing my car in soon anyways, but I would like to see if anyone has had any similar issues.

thanks in advance.
