i have a cobra radar detector in my car, but anyways it never shuts off, is this normal, i dont have any problems with my car starting, but i was just wondering if this is something i should have them look at when they fix my transmisson thursday

 

mine stays on too, i always unplug the radar detector

 

Lighter sockets in cars are always powered, at least in every one I've driven. Just unplug it if you're worried about the battery draining or something, although I don't see a radar detector doing that. (although it may look attractive to someone passing by)

 

i havent had any problems with it, just wanted to double check

 

mine are always one a radar doesnt drain enough power to kill your battery ne way i had mine and my ipod plugged in over night a couple times
