Clear Codes
Clear Codes
Hello All!
My name is Juan. I am from San Antonio, Texas. My current situation is that my Cobalt isn't running and I miss driving her.
Here is the deal. My car was starting to run strangely, like it was missing. Then it started to shut off while I was driving and sometimes when I come to a stop. So I went to my local auto parts store and I got error code from them, P0506, P0601, P0121. Now she wont stay on. She cranks, starts then immediately shuts off. The Driver Information Center (DIC) reads something like "Engine Power Loss".
From my research (that's how I found this Forum) I am concluding that it is either my ECM or Throttle Body.
I first cleaned my TB, replaced fuel filter, cleaned my MAF sensor, check my spark plugs and the gap they have and made sure they weren't completely worn out, checked my fuses. Still Nothing. Last night I replaced my TB. Still Nothing. Having replaced my TB, should I have the error code cleared?
Is there anybody that can help me, preferably at a lower price than the local (loco) Chevy dealer?

You definatly came to the right place, lots of knowledge here.
Unfortunatly if you ruled out all the basic mechanical ****, plugs, fuel filter/pump ETC and the problem is still there, this is out of my league.

Sounds like u have a bad PCM but I would make sure the lines going to the PCM in connected really well pull them off and clean them and put them back on make sure the battery is not connected when doing this and see if that helps before replacing it
