Clicking Noise when driving?

ok so everytime i get in my car in the morning or whenever after it sits awhile, i start going down the road and it sounds like the drivers front tires just clicks. almost like itty bitty rocks are just hitting the car. but its not only on this road it happens on others so it cant be the road. it evenetully goes away after about a quarter mile. anyone else have ever heard this or know what this annoying noise is? it doesnt make the ticking noise when its just started up and standing outside of it. only when you first start driving like i said. thanks

Did you check your lugs. Sound stupid? yes but this happened to me and it was clicking and checked my lugs and sure **** somehow one rim had loose lugs.

When you replace the Lugs you should retorque them after driving for a while I would re check them.
If thats not the case it could be your outer cv joint going or your wheel bearing.

jack up the car and check the hub for play by trying to wiggle the wheel.

Since it only happens when it's cold, maybe the timing chain? I know a few LSJ's that have this problem when the motors cold. The sound may be actually coming from passenger side? It would happen when you're not driving though....

my ss/sc 06 does the same thing

Yea mine does it also only when cold. It sounds similar to a car with worn strut top bushings but in my case they are not. especially over bumps but as soon as it gets warm it goes away. Its something in the suspension drivein me crazy on cold mornings.
